Artist Biographies
Chris Lucas: BS University of Utah 1976. Trained in graphics and
sculpture at the art schools of the University of Dayton and Kent State
University, he took a left brain turn and worked for 2 leading Wall Street
firms for 10 years, leaving the industry as a VP. A near brush with death
caused him to pay more attention to his right brain and he opened a commercial
graphics/ Holographics business in 1990. For the next 10 years he built up a
client base that included Anheuser Busch, Miller Brewing, Metromedia
Technologies, Skywest Airlines and Fender Music, to name a few. His venture
into Photography was an attempt to take the high energy of holographic effects
into Advertising, leading to numerous magazine covers and print ads. He has also
been recognized for creative excellence via public arts commissions and being
included in the Marquis "Who's Who in Media and Communications" edition of
1999. Since closing his company, he has been the occasional artist, full time
Mr. Mom and a financial and stock market coach and mentor.
Brett Colvin: BFA University of Utah 1985. Trained in ceramics,
painting and sculpture, photography became his medium of choice for artistic
expression. His desire to hone his skill led to working as an assistant to such
recognized photo artists as Annie Leibovitz and Richard Noble. Since opening
his own studio, he has photographed many of Hollywood's leading actors
for The Sundance Film Festival organization, corporate biggies, National
magazine covers, product ads, worked as the DP for movies, and has been honored
for both creative and technical excellence. His individual work has appeared in
the New York One show, The Belding Awards in Los Angeles, and he has received 2
"Communications Arts" awards. His clients have included IBM, Ford, Netscape and
Wired magazine.
